The Glass House
1 hr. 46 min. A loving couple living in southern California adopt two teenagers who lost their parents. However, after the children move in with the couple, they begin to suspect that their adoption was planned in advance of their parents's death.
MPAA Rating: PG-13 for sinister thematic elements, violence, drug content, and language.
This is NOT a remake of the 1975 film The Glass House.
What this is is a formula thriller with all of the standard bells and whistles. Not bad, but not good. However, 19 year old Leelee Sobieski makes this movie watchable. Not only is she damn hot, but she is a natural on the screen. She manages to pull off an amazing thing by making a weakly written character believable.
Also, did I mention that she is damn fine to look at?
She is going to be one of those actressess, who one year, out of the blue, will win an Oscar. Seriously. It won't be for this film, but one day, I think she will.
