Ponderable (ponderable) wrote in imho,

men in a boat

I lately read connie Willis' 'to say nothing of the dog'. This one is really great. I laughed my ass off. My wife became so interested that she read the book too and she also had some good laughs. Imagine persons from the future being transported into Victorian era to correct a happening that brought the stream of time awry. You'll laugh, too!

Then I reread three men in a boat to say nothing of the dog. It wasn't as hilarious as I had it in memory but is still pretty comical. Reviews for this are galore. Three young victorians decide to row up and down the Thames and some quite interesting things happen.

And my wife brought Two and a half men in a boat by Nigel Williams. A modern british author decides to repeat the famous journey and brings a friend ...and a half.
